In order to assist charitable organizations and institutions responsible for the noble work of educating our children and youth, Torinity provides special reduced pricing for its E-Learning courses to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and primary and secondary schools.

To qualify for Torinity’s special community support pricing, you will simply have to provide the following:

501(c)(3) Charitable Organizations

  1. Proof of your tax-exempt status; and
  2. Two (2) most recent years 990 (all forms are sufficient, including 990-N postcard)

Primary or Secondary School

Signed statement from School Principal, Counselor, Programs Coordinator (or equivalent) confirming (a) the school is accredited, (b) is chartered (if applicable), (c) physical address of the school, and (d) specifying the school district in which the school sits.

The Torinity Criminal Law Literacy E-Learning course is a set of narrator video guided modules. Lessons within each module covers different subsections of the module main topic.  For instance, in the Crime and Punishment module, subtopics covered will include Levels of Laws (local, state, and national), Misdemeanors and Felonies, and the Criminal Justice System generally.  The lessons explain these subtopics and provide examples of components and concepts covered.  Within each lesson are interactive quizzes and activities that aid in the adoption, retention, and application of lesson objectives and goals.  Some quizzes and activities will require a passing percentage to advance to the next subtopic while other non-assessed activities serve the purpose of inciting reflection and introspection—which aid in evaluating potentially fraught situations caused by poor decision-making.

The Torinity Criminal Law Literacy ELearning course was created to educate learners about criminal law and the criminal justice system. The prime objectives of the course is to help learners prevent, avoid, and defuse negative encounters with law enforcement. The course offers practical and realistic guidance regarding the criminal justice system. Additionally, several lessons within the program explain common crimes and the ease in which one can be drawn into criminal activity which in turn leads to being thrust into the criminal justice system—a situation for which many find it nearly impossible to extricate themselves from. 

The presentation also fosters reflection on the pitfalls of various culturally encouraged (or acquiesced) behaviors that can lead to investigation, arrest, trial, conviction and incarceration. The content of the Torinity Criminal Law Literacy ELearning course is tailored to resonate especially with youth and young adults, ages 10 through 25 in underserved communities. This important content, however, is of interest to all citizens who are not well-versed or educated in the American criminal justice system.
